Beauty In Bloom

Black is Beautiful Experience

featuring Brandee Younger

New music inspired by a legacy of beauty and self-definition.

Beauty In Bloom and Radiance were created by Brandee Younger in response to the photographs and cultural vision of Kwame Brathwaite.

Drawing inspiration from the Grandassa Models and the Black Is Beautiful movement, the music reflects themes of beauty, identity, and self determination. Through sound, the compositions honor a vision that transformed how Black people saw themselves and how they wished to be seen by the world.

“I am the personification of a phenomenal people whose beauty and strength is ancient and yet so very current.”
